OPERATION:

1) Fill the oil reservoir with oil. I use Mobil 1 15/50 or Mobil 1 90wt. rear axle oil. The heavier wt. oils are not as easily thrown off the chain by centrifugal force. Also, the synthetic oil seems to penetrate the orings and crevices better. This reduces the amount of oil needed to be fed.

2) The pump is self priming. To initially feed oil into the line and onto the chain, pulse the electric button until oil starts feeding onto the chain. This may take a number of pulses of the button, depending on the distance between the pump, reservoir and discharge. You can see the oil moving through the lines as you push the button.
DO NOT HOLD BUTTON DOWN and MAINTAIN POWER TO THE PUMP. Holding the button down does not feed more oil. It only requires a millisecond contact to pulse the pump. The amount of oil fed and over what period of time will depend upon the number of times the button is pushed. To calibrate simply push the button and count the number of drops fed onto the chain afterwards. It will take a few minutes for all of the oil to be fed.
